Winton House Centre has been awarded Certificate of Commendation.
For providing a welcoming hub for a wide and certificate essential services and facilities for local people of all ages. With most activities staffed by volunteers, the Centre is truly ‘run for the community, by the community’.
In the heart of Petersfield High Street, Winton House Centre is a buzzing hive of community activity, largely staffed by volunteers. As an independent charity, the Centre provides a base to support individuals, charities and voluntary organisations such as Age Concern, Petersfield Voluntary Care Group, and Home Start. The Information Desk, daily staffed by volunteers, offers helpful connections to a range of local resources, including transport to medical appointments, wheelchair hire and other services useful for older people. Also on site are a welcoming and affordable Pop-in Tearoom, rooms for hire at reasonable rates, and a lovely garden for the community’s use.
