Did you know that Monday 19th September was International Talk Like a Pirate day? No we didn't either until Artscape, who hire our rooms, dressed up as pirates and toured the town. They started off here in our Tea Room and sang to a full room, with many sporting eye patches and singing along. It was such a good laugh and brightened up our Monday morning.
Meet our new baker, Holly who is aiming to achieve her Duke of Edinburgh award by baking for our Tea Room. She arrived this morning with a selection of cakes and scones that looked fantastic! We look forward to her baking for us each week starting in September.
Since March we have been working closely with M&S as part of their Neighbourly Scheme. We pick up food that would otherwise be thrown away and pass it onto various local charities. It is a fantastic scheme and has been working really well over the past 6 months. If you are connected with a local charity and would like to receive food donations please contact Sheridan Rocher at Winton House.
David Weeks, one of our regular customers, popped in today to tell us he was the winner of the Petersfield Personality of the Year award.
